DJ Eddie Ed Cruz, born and raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn New York. He began to DJ in 1977 in several clubs thru out Brooklyn and the Bronx, such as the “Chez Sensual” on Zerega Ave, Bronx, and in Brooklyn the “El Conquistador Night Club” on Nostrand Ave, both in NYC. It was there when he opened up for the Latin Bands: Names like Ray Baretto, Johnny Ray, Millie Jocelyn, Ray Sepulveda, and Tipica 76, with Jose Alberto “El Canario”.
Also while spinning records; he had a mobile DJ Service going on. Additionally, he was a former staff member of IDRC/RPBC, with the late Eddie Rivera in New York City. While working with Mr. Rivera, he was the Staff Photographer for period of time. In addition, he was the Feedback Director for Mr. Rene Hewitt’s record ‘Pool in the Bronx’. While working with Mr. Hewitt he was responsible to go to each record company and obtain promotional records for the record pool. Presently, he is now producing house music sound tracks in his personal studio. His music interest is House, Salsa, Hip Hop, R&B.
